Lemonade Sale

Amount of Lemonade :

th

In June, the 4 grade classes will have a culminating

event of a Lemonade Stand, which will conclude their study
of Economics for Social Studies. We will be working on
activities and reading the book called The Lemonade War,
by Jacqueline Davies. This story is about two siblings who
decide to have a lemonade stand against each other. It is a
clever book that has humor, math, and marketing strategies
throughout the story.
Within our class, the students are working on a
reading log and word search, as well as some advertising
and marketing strategies and techniques. The end results
will be their own individual or group lemonade stand. Each
group has a date and times to sell (see back.) All money that
is raised will go to selected charity and various other
funding opportunities that will all be selected by the 4th
graders.
If you have any questions, please check with your
student first. Then please contact your childs classroom
teacher. Please feel free to join us and see the stands,
observe the marketing strategies, watch the sales
techniques, and of course . . . come to our sale, bring
friends and family, and buy some lemonade!
