After reading many

versions of The Three Little

Pigs, K1.2 wondered:

Is the wolf principled?

Eddie: Hes not principled because hes not being kind.

Gracie: But in the real story of The Three Little Pigs he just wants a
cup of sugar.
Rui: I bet he got sad because the pigs didnt like him. He was just
trying to get the sugar.
Ms. Alison: So do you think he was principled?
Rui: He was principled because he was asking permission.
Jay: He said please so he is principled.
Rui: Thats connected to mine.
Carlotta: He wants to say please because he wants to go in.
Gracie: The wolf is principled because he was making a nice little
cake for his grandma.
Ms. Alison: What does principled mean?
Gracie: You make good choices.
Kotaru: Being nice.
Eddie: Being caring.
Rui: Helping.
Kotaru: Yeah so the wolf is principled because he wasnt really
blowing the houses.

Eddie: He was sneezing them!

Ms. Alison: So was it all an accident then?
Rui: Yeah he was catching a cold.
Carlotta: When he was coming he didnt want to blow the house
down. Only sugar.
Jumi: Hes a good guy because he was nice to say Little Pig,
Little Pig let me in. He liked the house.
Ms. Alison: So many of you think that the wolf is principled. What
about the pigs? Are they principled?
Eddie: Yes, because theyre answering and thats nice to answer.
Gracie: Its not very nice to ignore.
Rui: But its also very mean to not let him in and its mean to trap
the wolf.
Kotaru: I dont think theyre principled because they didnt let the
wolf in.
Carlotta: Look when she liked the bricks she took everything of the
bricks. You can see there are no more bricks.

Ms. Alison: So is it principled to take ALL of the bricks from the

man?
Everyone: No.
Eddie: You know in the real story of The Three Little Pigs they
werent letting the wolf in but maybe they were just busy.
Gracie: But the third little pig was just shaving his chin. That
doesnt sound busy!
