4. Discussion
Characters are people or animals in the story. The Protagonist are the main characters while
the Antagonist are the villains or the opponents of the main characters.
We can notice their character traits by:
What they think, say or do.
How other characters treat them or what other characters think or say on them.
Understanding the characters and why they do things can help us understand the story better.

IV. Group Activity


Group the students into two. Fill in the Characters Chart with the information regarding on the
characters in the story. Present the chart in the class.

V. Generalization
The characters are the persons or animal in a story or fiction. There are two kinds of
characters: the Protagonist or a person or an animal who plays the lead role; and the
Antagonist or persons or animals that opposes the main character.
VI. Assignment
Complete the Characters Table with the description, types and attitudes of the famous movie or
television characters you watched.
