Based on input from Academic Senate Council,


Campus Climate Council, and the Cabinet, the
Chancellor agreed that the optimum
administrative structure for diversity at UCSD
would be an office led by a Vice Chancellor for
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Options for an
appropriate administrative structure will be
developed for review and comment.
Students added to committee to work with
Student Affairs to rewrite portions of code; draft
code to undergo campus review spring quarter

Human Resources and EVC will communicate
the Principles of Community to all new
employees during the hiring process

website; will be included in the application and

Following work with students and the mural
artist, the temporary mural has been removed to
make way for a permanent mosaic of the mural;
tiling expected to be completed spring quarter
University Centers Director Paul Terzino and
AVC Gary Ratcliff working with BSU students to
add mural to first floor of Price Center East; VC
RM&P and Dean of Arts & Humanities working
on plan for University Art Gallery to serve as site
for diverse art exhibits; Development Director for
Diversity raising funds; two temporary art
exhibits, "Martin Luther King & 37th Street" and
"The Boat/El Barco" unveiled at TMC
Director of Stuart Collection has agreed to add
student to advisory committee
Meeting held; proposals sought from students for
namings
New resource center open and keys given to BSU
and MEChA students. Location in Price Center
chosen for Native American Student Alliance
space; furniture has been ordered and space
agreement signed, expected to be completed in
spring quarter
