Usamos el continuo para algo

que est pasando o esta cerca
de ocurrir del momento en el
que hablamos.

La accin no est terminada.

Tambin se utiliza para
situaciones temporales.

Pasado

Usamos el presente simple para

algo que pasa en general, que
ocurre repetidamente, o para
verdades universales

Para situaciones permanentes.

 I always do/ Im always doing

Normalmente decimos I always do something para indicar que
lo hacemos todo el tiempo.
I always go to work by car.
Pero tambin podemos decir Im always doing something, pero
en este caso tendra un significado diferente, seria cuando
hacemos algo con demasiada frecuencia, o ms a menudo de lo
normal; tambin se utilizara para expresar una exageracin.
Youre always watching TV. You should do something more
active.


Los siguientes verbos normalmente no se utilizan en continuo:

Like, love, hate, want, need, prefer, know, realise, suppose, mean,
understand, believe, remember, belong, contain, cosist, depend,
seem.

 Usamos normalmente el presente simple (no continuo) con estos

verbos:
See, hear, smell, taste.

o Hoteles, restaurantes, pubs.
o Cines y teatros
o Galeras y museos
o Ocanos, playas, canales
o Peridicos
o Organizaciones
o Nombres con of: the Bank of England, the Tower of London,...
o Cuando slo hay una cosa de algo
o The earth goes round the sun.
o Con estas palabras:
o The sky, the sea, the ground, the country, the environment,
the space (como sitio o lugar), the cinema, the theatre
o Con el the para referirnos a un tipo de animal, de mquina, de
instrumento, de persona,...

o Sin el the cuando hablamos de cosas o personas en general:

o Sin el the cuando pensamos en la idea general de esos sitios y para
lo que son utilizados: ( prison, university, school, church, hospital)
