Three Elementary Education
1. Edutopia- Many sites on elementary education do a good job of pulling together info from every
class subject or just sharing advice on how teachers can work with the education system to
provide the best learning experience to their youngsters.
Summary: This site makes a happy teacher even happier. With all the different classes
that elementary teachers have to teach throughout the day. Its very useful, when coming to find

2. Arkive- Arkive focuses on different educational games that empower kids to become smarter
while having fun learning the information. The content primarily focuses on science, puzzles,
animals, the environment, and conservation efforts.
Summary: When trying to decide what games or what can help the child learn about science.
You can trust this site to do what you need to. Because, not all children learn the same, so at
least Arkive can help the child learn different ways. Link: http://www.arkive.org/
3. Vocabulary Spellingcity.com- Vocabulary Spelling City.com provides many different spelling
tools, along with games, fantastic teaching resources, and videos.
Summary: Not all elementary students are good at spelling, so when deciding on how spelling
can be fun to learn. You turn to this website, because of it is good on games, so the child dont

Overall Summary: If I was elementary school teacher, I would be happy to have all these
sources in my classroom. Not only do we live in a technology world, but we live with diverse
group children who can not learn the same way. Not only do these sites care about the childs
welfare. You can see, that it will be fun in many ways.
Three Secondary Resources:
1. Tate Gallery Kids- website lets children view and rate existing art or develop their own personal
gallery. There are sections for film and games.
Summary: Its great that children get to rate what they like about art. It develops their creative
side, by making art also. Its great tool, for art teachers wanting much more for their children.

2. eChalk Algebra- Moonlander game requires kids to land a spaceship to solve problems.
Summary: Now I can vouch for kids who hate math and cant seem to focus. Ive always hated
math, since Ive been younger. But, this algebra site is fun, you calculate a spaceship to solve
problems. It will help develop ways for the child, to learn how to solve other math problems in

3. Google Earth- is a satellite imagery website that is fully interactive and is exciting to use for
adults, as well as children of any age.
Summary: At any age, we are fancasting with everything including the Earth. I even use this,
when I was in elementary school. It was so much fun to use this. Not only do you learn the
Earth, but you can type any city or any country. It will take you there, without being any problem.

Overall Summary: All the sites, I provided is very good resources for any teacher teaching
secondary grades. It involves higher level thinking, which I think is pretty cool. I recommend any
teacher wanting to teach secondary grades is use Google Earth. I promise youll love it as much
as the children do.
Three Special Education resources:
1. Do2Learn- has thousands of pages that will help students improve on social skills, behavior and
academics.
Summary: This website makes a the teacher and child who has special needs. You have
every subject and grade level, so its not just for certain ages. But, the special needs student will
be very empowered by doing these lessons. It involves the student being self-confident about

2. Teacher Version- offers free curriculum strategies and classroom management techniques to
teach students with special needs effectively.
Summary: As a teacher, this should be your bible with teaching special needs children. You can
become such a expert with learning from these techniques. Its always good to know these
techniques just in case you encounter any of these students.

3. The Education Commission of the states- provides news, the latest research findings, and
special education laws by state.
Summary: You can look up any of the new or current laws that are in place for special
education. It can be very life saving.

Overall Summary: With being a teacher, you have to deal with all types of students. But, these
are the resources that teachers can follow in order to learn how to deal with special needs
students. Its very rewarding, to know these lessons.
