ASSIGNMENT IN AIT

Even the best people, fails a statement of one of the speaker, Jasmine Perez, CPA during her response
in the Tribute to the New CPAs 2015, held at USJR, Center for Performing Arts.
It was indeed overwhelming hearing those inspiring words from people who once a student, tried and
succeeded. Sharing their bumpy, zig zag roads towards their journey on how they become CPAs.
The program was started with a Holy Mass headed by Fr. Christopher Maspara, OAR. After 1 hour, a
welcome address was given by the Vice President of Academics, Fr. James T. Bumangabang OAR. He
imparted to us a story that every successful person can relate. The recognition of new CPAs followed
through. Their names are called giving them certificate of recognition for passing the CPA Board Exam.
Thereafter, Jasmine Perez, a USJR Graduate, shared her life story how she made it in Board Exam, she
said that even she fails in the Integrated Subjects like P1 and Auditing Problems, she never give up but
instead she retook the subjects and turns out that, what she is weak the most, became her favorite
subject because she learned a lot after she retake the subject.
After, the second speaker dazed the crowd. Jeremie Plaza, a USJR reviewee partakes his voyage on how
he made it in the board exam despite of the things that hinders him to pass the undergrad subjects. He
iterated that, you must know what you really want in life, and work for it. Even he entered in to many
extra-curricular activities it didnt prevent him to graduate as Magna Cum Laude.
Then, the 4th year BSA students presented their dance number with a song entitled Fight Song. They
gave their tribute by dancing and singing for they also knows they will be going to be CPAs soon.
As a student, tribute to the new CPAs is not only intended for the new CPAs but also to the students who
aspires to be one. I believe, no gem is polished without a friction, the same as a man cannot be
successful without adversities. In life, we are challenged. Whenever you failed, keep trying, stay focused
and always pray to God.
