Also at the end of the lesson I will ask each group to explain how they
cooperated- showing me that they know what it means.
How will you get the students attention?

Which strategies are you going to use?
I will use introductions, transitions, teacher talking, questioning, student
interactions, small group work, activity, and lesson closure.

How are you going to teach this lesson?
1. I will start by having all the students come meet me on the carpet.
2. I then will explain what the book is about and why we are reading
it.
3. I will read the book aloud to the class and periodically stop and ask
questions.
4. When I finish the book I will ask a few more questions.
5. I will explain that they will be put into groups and within those
groups they need to cooperate to make a snowman.
6. I will read off the groups, which were randomly picked
beforehand.
7. I will then give each group a big sheet of paper.
8. As they are working I will walk around and see how each group is
doing.

How will you summarize and check for understanding?
At the end I had each group explain how they worked together
(cooperated) to create their snowman. I will also look for it while I watch
them work in the groups.
