and staff to the new core math
program Go Math!

curriculum maps.

school year
Middle/High

To develop DDMs for 2016-2017
school year

We have had a productive year in our curriculum and assessment work on

our PD days and in our grade level/department time to further our
strategic objectives in instructional excellence. The majority of our Stage 1
of curriculum has been completed in Atlas and published K-12. Many
departments have made progress over the year in developing and
implementing common assessments, evaluating them for quality, and
adding them to Stage 2 in Atlas. Some grade levels and departments have
begun the DDM development process and explored DDM options. All of
these accomplishments help to further our district strategic initiatives
(listed below) in the area of instructional excellence. Our May 13th PD day
will provide us with more time to collaborate in accomplishing our goals.

Strategic Initiatives
1. By June 2016, all K-12 curriculum, Stages I and II, will be formally
written as a way to support:
o

Ongoing curriculum review and revision

Alignment of the taught and written curriculum

Effective curricular coordination and vertical articulation within

the district

Parent and community awareness of learning experiences and

expectations

2. By June 2016, all educators will adopt/develop and implement at least

four standards-aligned common assessments.
