Firstly, I would like to thank you and your organization for your loyalty as valued customers of
Lancope Inc. The concern you have raised is a valid one and I understand your responsibility to the
Stanford Cyber Initiative to ensure it receives the best security services available. I have personally
looked into the source of the information you described and all instances in which I found it cite Plixer as
the original author. Not to tarnish the reputation of a respected competitor, their findings are technically
correct, but their conclusions are misleading. The data flow monitoring capabilities Plixer refers to are
only achieved at burst speeds to meet temporary demand. 400k flows per second is not necessary to meet
your organizations requirements. More important are sustained monitoring speeds, which are superior
with Lancopes StealthWatch. We aim for sustainable long term solutions that work to meet your needs
