The product that I want to make was a water resistance cap, so its basically a normal
cap that can hold water, so it wont through the cap because the important body to cover if
there is a rain is head because once it hits your head, you will have an headache. The first
plan that I will do is find the template of the head and print it according to the size, which is
30 x 22 cm to make the diameter of the cap is 52 cm. The second thing that I do is cut the
template and used it as the pattern for my fabrics. After I cut the fabrics, I made a little
prototype to chose which one of the cap sewing pattern to fit my cap model. From that
prototype, I chose the most realistic one, which is give space on the side and sew it on the
inside to make the cap pattern sew tightly. After I sew all the pattern I put the cap button on
the top to cover the top of the cap because it looks weird without the cap button.

three things that I learn from making this product:

There are many ways to sew a cap, but I only learn 2 of it.
Water resistance fabrics are hard to sew because the fabrics werent strong enough, so

its easily rip off.

Black colour absorbs more heat than the light colour.

3 Challenges:

Sewing the fabrics.

Use the chalk for draw the pattern on the fabrics because the fabrics can be stretch.
Sew the cap button on top of the cap because I cant see the needle because the cap
button need to be sew tightly.

How to solve the challenges:

-

For sewing the fabrics, I put the straight pin on the 2 fabrics that I want to sew

together, so I can sew it more easily than before.

For drawing the pattern, I ask my partner to hold the fabrics and the pattern, so I can

draw it easily, and some of the pattern, I use a pen that can be erase.
For sew the cap button, I sew it as normally and then after I already insert the needle
trough the button, I pull the needle and make it tight before I sew it on the cap.
