Magical Weapons Narrative
I was hesitant to take this strengths test. I find most of them to be untrustworthy,
filled with unrelated questions and randomized conclusions that make you doubt yourself.
This one was different. It made you reflect on how you act in public or private and what
runs through your mind in your daily life. It required honest answers for accurate results.
I realized that my main strength is a historian. I did not understand it before but it is true,
I look back at the past and the success or mistakes I have made before making a decision.
The historian is careful and ponders deeply before committing to one path. Another one
of my top strengths was the initiator. They are the go-getters. The ones that want to start a
million projects before finishing another one. I learned that it is okay to be both cautious
and eager to begin something new.
I think strengths tests were designed to not reveal your true talents, but to
categorize and encourage you to fit in. Our society has a fixation with labels; that
everyone needs be exactly something. Some of the categorizes I was placed under; I do
not exactly agree with them. For example, the test said my third top strength was
Recognition. This type of individual loves the spotlight and wants their voice to be heard.
I do not belong under that list. I would must rather care out my day in private without the
whole world watching what I am doing. I keep my life private and do not advertise my

feelings easily. However, I did think the test was accurate when I was classified as a
Thinker and a Winner. The thinker is always in their own heads, having conversations
and discussions that only they can answer. Daydreaming is a huge hobby of thinkers and
that is what I like to do best. The winner, on the other hand, is always looking for a
challenge. Any little activity becomes a competition. From sports to school work the
winner wants to be the best at everything and I think I fit pretty well into the category.
I hope for these strengths to motivate me in the future. I know that these things
that an online test told me I am, are not all I am. I will keep my strengths in mind and use
them to my advantage. College is the path I have chosen and I will remember what I
should be looking for when I start to make friends. Although I do not plan on
preoccupying myself on what my strengths are, I will keep them in the back of my mind
and learn to grow because of them.
