By reading The Three Little Pigs out loud and then acting out the story, the

story. They will be able to show a wide variety of emotions when they act out
each character of the story.

We will put the book of The Three Little pigs in the Mystery Story Trunk. The
kids will pull it out and we will read it together as a read aloud.
1. We will read the story aloud
2. Discuss the story, the characters of the story and the emotions of the
characters. We will also discuss the vocabulary words: sticks, straw, bricks,
sneaky, frightened
3. Read the story again.
4. We will have already cut out straw, sticks, and bricks out of paper as
well as the frame work for each pigs house which will already be hanging in
three different sections of the room.
5. The students will each get a glue stick and glue the appropriate building
material with the appropriate pigs house.
6. After the houses are built the kids will pick out which character they want
to be and we will act out the story a few times.
After we act out the story several times, we will meet on the rug to discuss the
wolf and pigs feelings as well as which house they would build if they were one of
