To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to recommend Elizabeth Stolow for the Sentry Insurance Foundation Student Leadership Scholarship. I have had
the pleasure of knowing Elizabeth for four years as a student, DECA member and a friend. Through the years I have seen Elizabeth
dedicate herself to her studies and continue to grow as an individual.
One of Elizabeths strengths is the connections she has developed with her peers and reaching out of her comfort zone. She continues
to challenge herself to reach higher levels of achievement by thinking outside of the box. As a high school student, she was one of the
top students I had seen in my nine years of teaching. Her projects were professional and reasonable from a business perspective that
is rare in a student her age. Not only is Elizabeth naturally curious, she also is confident enough to discuss and stand by her
convictions. She has earned the respect of not only her peers, but from my teaching colleagues as well. I believe her entire scholastic
history will help show her work ethic and commitment to excellence. I have kept past projects she has done to show to my current and
future marketing students due to the outstanding effort and content. Elizabeth is a model student and continues to push herself which
can be seen through her academic course load of AP European History, AP English and Composition, AP U.S. History, AP Literature,
AP Economics plus she has received Gateway Technical College transcripted credit in Advertising and Print Media, Marketing II, and
Entrepreneurship.
As a business teacher, my efforts are focused on preparing students for future careers in marketing, management and
entrepreneurship. I can say that Elizabeth has been one of the most outstanding students in my career in terms of academic
excellence. She is never afraid of a challenge and seeks opportunities with a vigor and confidence far beyond her years. Earning a 4.1
GPA is just one example of all of her hard work in the classroom. Demonstrating well rounded skills, Elizabeth has participated in
numerous volunteer work with Lakeland Animal Shelter, Manor Lake Retirement Home and Lake Geneva Public Library plus she has
continued to help shape the culture at Badger High School by being involved in Student Council along with DECA.
Considering all of her talents, it would be an easy decision to choose Elizabeth. However, all of her gifts aside, Elizabeth would be an
outstanding candidate on the strength of her character alone. She is a kind person and a joy to be around. She works hard, is
appreciative of her opportunities and proud of her success. In short, she is an outstanding young woman with a limitless future. I will be
very sad to see Elizabeth leave Badger High School but I am excited to see all she will achieve. There is no doubt in my mind that she
will make an immediate contribution to any institution that is lucky enough to have her.
I feel that Elizabeths hard work, dedication, and passion for learning are something that will continue to grow with her as she continues
to educate herself on how to be the best professional she can be. Please consider Elizabeth to have my very highest recommendation
for this scholarship. If you have any further questions, please contact me at 262-348-2000 x 2697 or email me at
