Our classrooms rules help us get along with each

other:

Learn About Our Behavior Rewards and


Consequence

Green card means your are making good choices and you will earn 1 green card and the
card will be placed on the behavior board

Yellow card means we need to work on making good choices and your name will be
placed on the behavior board yellow card until for you change to a positive behavior
Red card is time to sit in the thinking chair to think about how can I made good choices
every day. If I dont make good choices the teacher will send a note to my parents or
call them

Rewards for Good Behavior Choices

For 10 green cards you will be the classrooms leader of the class for a
day
For 20 green cards you will eat lunch with the teacher
For 30 green cards you will receive a good behavior certificate, plus
you get to be the classrooms leader for a day or have lunch with the
teacher

Consequences for Making Poor Choices

Two consecutives red cards: you will be asked to sit in the cozy rest center for 4
minutes to think about making good choices

Three consecutives red cards: you will be seated in the red thinking for 4 minutes
to think about making good choices

Four consecutives red cards: the teacher will send a note to your parents
Five consecutives red cards: the teacher will call your parents

Documenting challenging behavior


When it comes to documenting challenging behavior, the teacher will use the teachers anecdotal notebook
and do the following:
1.

Write the type of behavior exhibited by the student in the teachers notebook

2.

Was the behavior triggered by someone, something, or the environment; and any suspicion of childs
mental or physical delay that might contribute to that behavior

3.

How many warning was given by the teacher

4.

The teacher will report the incident to the administrator in a behavior report, and the teacher will keep
a copy of this report on the childs file

5.

If the parent was called to talk about the childs behavior, or a parent-teacher conference was schedule
the teacher must write on the teachers notebook the date of the phone call, and the time of the
conversation and write if any witnesses was present, and any action taken with the child

6.

If a behavior report was given to the parent. This must include any suggestions, action plan, or follow up
plan by parent and teacher

7.

Any referral form was given or discuss with parent to help the childs behavior. Distribute copies to
parent, office and in students file. Please check students behavior referral below

Behavior
A) After attempting all of the above and if the child is still uncooperative or still
making wrong choices the teacher will:
B) Removed the child from the learning center or play area and send the child to
lay down on a mat, or cot until he or she becomes calmer
C) If the previous step does not work the teacher will call parents to pick the child
up
D)If the aggressive behavior continues and the teacher makes many efforts to
control the child and intervention is in place, or if child has an IEP plan, the
teacher will suspend the child for 1 day
E) If the negative behavior continues after suspension day after day, the teacher
will recommend termination of that childs pre-k care service.

Group Rewards and Consequences

General classrooms consequences will not be taking when it comes to


reprimand the whole classroom because the entire classroom do not need to
be punish for other children negative behavior

Classrooms rewards will be to have Pizza day on Friday when 90% of the
students show good behavior for the entire week, if pizza day is not possible
the children will go to the treasure box, where they can choose a toy
