I would like to express my interest in interning with your company. I believe that my training and work
experiences match the job requirements.
I am currently perusing Nursing Program in NorQuest College, and will graduate in August, 2016.
Also, I am currently working in CBI Health Group as a HCA. In my workplace, I have to make my
patients' lives easier and more comfortable. I have trained to assist the elderly, disabled, and mentally
ill. I help patients with daily tasks such as take vital signs, personal grooming, meal preparation, light
housekeeping, get them into and out the bath, toilet or shower. In addition, I often need to lift patients
into and out of their beds, or chairs. Also, it will be necessary to lift and turn bed-ridden patients to
prevent bedsores.
I had a great time during my clinical placement in Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre (Oct
Nov, 2015). Also, I have successfully passed my medicine and surgery clinical in Royal Alexandra
Hospital (Feb April, 2016). I learned a range of nursing skills on the job, while also developed my
ability to think quickly, be adoptable to changing circumstances as well as problem-solve. I
demonstrated highly skilled in patient care. Also, I have demonstrated the ability to communicate well
with patients and healthcare staff, and have superb attention to detail. Having gained substantial
professional knowledge during my nursing studies along with hands-on experience gained through
clinical placements, I have the ability to take care of your patients effectively, and contribute to your
bottom-line eventually.
In addition to my nursing education, my other experience have allowed me to build up several key
qualities and skills particularly related to patient-care and team-work. For instance, my role as a
volunteer in EGCCC has improved my ability of caring; my experience as a grocery clerk has trained
me with excellent communication skill and customer service skill.
