SUNY Albany, SUNY New Paltz and Skidmore College.
As a department, we feel it is important to visit college campuses when given
the opportunity. This year during Superintendent's Conference Day we had a
detailed tour of six college campuses. Oyster Bay students have applied to and
attended these schools. This experience allows us to provide valid and
knowledgeable advice to our students.

On October 9th, ENL students

from grades 10-12 had the
opportunity to experience the
college fair at Molloy college.
Students had the opportunity to
meet
with
admission
representatives and ask questions.

During the first week of February, the

counselors will go into the classrooms
and discuss course selections with the
students. Students are given a copy of
the course offerings handbook that
they can take home and review with
their parents. In-depth details of what
courses a student should take is
discussed during their meeting with
their counselor. Please keep in mind
that we take teacher recommendations
very seriously as they know the
students well from their classroom
experience.

College Applications
The application process can be a stressful process for
both our seniors and their parents. This year, they
fulfilled the process smoothly and by the time it was
Christmas break, 99% of our seniors had applied to a
school. Students have already been accepted to
many schools and have already committed to: The
University of Alabama, Yale University, SUNY
Plattsburgh and Belmont University.
