1. Using the pattern cut out all the required pieces.
2. Sew the decoration to the front of the pass case, the bottom of the case is the end with the folded flap. For the dog just pin in place then sew around the edge. For the ice-cream start with the cone, then add each layer of ice-cream and finally the cherry. 3. Lay the front piece on your work surface, right side down. Fold the flap in half so that it becomes double and stitch all the way around the flap. 4. Find the centre of the flap then place the button on it, the pattern doesn't specify a button size since this is the kind of project that is perfect for using up those cute random buttons in your stash. 5. Mark each side of the button, then cut a hole with a sharp knife to make the button hole. Over stitch around the button hole or if you are doing this on a machine use your button hole gadget, follow your machines instructions on how to do it. 6. Place the front piece and back piece together and pin to hold in place. Fold the ribbon in half and tuck between the two layers at the top end of the case (opposite end to the flap). Pin. 7. Sew along the three sides but keep the end of the flap open, you can add decorative stitching like the ice-cream case in the picture but don't sew the end shut or you won't be able to get your pass in! When you get to the ribbon add a few extra stitches for strength. 8. Turn the case over, close the flap and position the button so that it will go through the button hole nicely. Sew the button to the back piece. 9. Pop your pass into the case, button up, add the split ring and you are ready to go!
