You are required to research and present a report on one of the following five
sources of finance. The report must be Maritime related.
The report is to contain the fundamental principles of the source and to
analyse the availability of the funds in todays market. The report MUST be
current with issues and evidenced with examples for this year (2015/16) within
the structure.

1. Islamic Finance
2. Bonds (either High Yield Bonds or Norwegian Covered
bonds)
3. Bank Loans, (senior debt/corporate debt).
4. Government/State Aid or ECAs
5. K/G OR K/S funding (is this viable today?)
The report length is to be a maximum of 2000 words +/- 10%
Guidelines
Marks will be awarded for answers that have addressed the purpose of
the assignment comprehensively.
Referencing accurately using the Harvard System.
Evidence of a variety of information sources used will be an advantage.
The assignment requires information up to the present day.
Analytical and a clear presentation, well grounded in theory will be of
benefit.
Minimum size 12 font and all word processed
Remember this is assignment is worth 40% of the module marks so
do not present a short answer, (i.e. less than 1000 words)
