Crude & Condensate Stabilization

Crude and Condensate Stabilizers are used in process plants to meet the RVP
requirements specified by the customer. The typical stabilizer arrangement
includes a stabilization column with process trays or packing installed and a
stabilizer reboiler.
On smaller units, stabilizer column is sometimes directly mounted on the reboiler while larger units have
separate columns and reboilers. Some system will also include inlet stabilized/unstabilized heat exchangers
and overhead reflux condenser for enhanced recovery and more efficient design. Similar arrangements are
also offered for H2S stripping from liquid to meet the maximum allowable sulfur content in the sales product.
SPEC custom designs these packages to meet your process requirements with the added flexibility to meet
NACE requirements, customer preferred instrumentation as well as options for gas fired reboilers or hot
oil/steam reboilers. Contact SPEC for your stabilization requirements.

CONDENSATE STABILIZATION
Many natural gas fields also produce a light hydrocarbon liquid product (condensate) along with the gas. For this
liquid to be shipped safely in atmospheric pressure trucks and to avoid high vaporization losses, the liquid is
stabilized using heat and a fraction tower to set the liquid vapor pressure within acceptable limits. The light products
removed from the heavier liquid can be used as fuel and/or many other uses. The stabilized liquid is cooled before
going to storage tanks.
SouthTex Treaters manufactures condensate stabilizers to meet a wide range of output. View our stock stabilizer
