Weekly Reflection #13
I learned that lesson plans are all different based on what grade and subject
you are teaching. While watching my classmates give their presentations I saw that
some read books and some showed videos. Most people decided to use worksheets
as assessments. Lesson plans for younger children are simpler than the ones for
older grades. For example, kindergarten classes require basic understanding of
certain things like letters and numbers. For higher grades, the lesson plans are more
difficult as the kids need to rely more on memory and do things more by themselves
without help. My lesson plan follows the InTASC standard 1 and NAEYC standard 6.
Learners development as a teacher is important for me to keep track of in my
lesson plan. I need to understand how my young learners grow and develop so that
I can teach them properly.
