Weekly Reflection 6
In class we learned about how schools have changed. In the 1700s Tomas
Jefferson wanted to change education that all white people could go to school
regardless of social status. Benjamin Franklin had the idea to take religious
complication out of the academics. We also learned about the progressive
movement where psychology and social sciences were added to the classroom.
They thought that students learned best when they are interested.

I find that I learn best when I am interested in what it is Im learning.
Currently I am enrolled in a Psychology class and since I am very interested in the
various parts of the class, I am learning well. When teaching young kids I believe
that it is very important for them to be interested. Since the attention span of most
kids, younger and older, can vary its best to make your lesson interesting and fun to
keep everyone active.
