PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM

1.) Referring other countries with successful parliamentary system does not reflect
the same results in the Philippines.
2.) Current politicians and peoples mindset controls the success of a government
system not the results of others or the positivity of a system (Political culture and
Education of the masses)
3.) Presidential gives more power to the people in which they can oust any officials
guilty of corruption. Parliamentary gives more power to public official, only they can
oust any official through majority vote. The people are helpless in this system.
(Strength of the people to remove officials)
4.) Contrary to its meaning that the president can become all-powerful and
authoritarian, no matter how rich or powerful he/she becomes the people will be
one to decide if he/she stays or not, while in parliamentary if most of the
government post is held by the current leaders allies then he/she has the potential
to stay in power for a longer period of time. The people cannot do anything about it,
much worse than presidential. (Power and influence of the leader and time to stay in
office whether permanent, longer or short)
5.) Presidential has better stability and structure despite good or bad leaders. In
Parliamentary, the moment the leader changes the entire or most of the structure
changes according to his demands.
6.) Process of law making is thorough in presidential although slower unlike in
parliamentary it is fast but does not go through a process or series of checking for
malicious or one sided laws. (Neutrality of Laws and Favoritism in the class of
people)
7.) Distribution of power in parliamentary is not efficient and prone to internal
conflict which might cause a standstill on progress. It might also render the
government defunct and disabled due to various powers conflicting with each other.
(Effective use of power and proper management of government bodies)
