Objective
I am looking forward to an opportunity where I can work with a group of students in an
environment where the instruction is student-centered and catered to each individual educational
need. I would like to implement communication and consideration in all areas for students
diverse needs when it comes to learning so that each child has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Field Based: Schanen Estates Elementary

Developed and implemented five lesson plans in a 1st grade classroom in the subjects of
math, science, reading, and social studies.
Cooperated with a cite teacher to plan appropriate lessons in aspects such as age,
classroom management, and other related duties.
Involved in after school activities such as open house, PTA functions, and other school
related activities.

Field Experiences in Reading: Gregory-Portland Elementary

Developed and implemented four lessons in reading for kindergarten including guided
reading, read-aloud, and fluency.
Worked with the teacher to create student-centered lessons that related to each
individuals needs such as reading groups and levels taken into account for students.

Advanced Practice in Reading & Language Arts

Worked with professor to plan for diagnostic assessment to prepare for after school
tutoring.
Completed multiple diagnostic assessments for an individual student and created
activities based on results.
Assessments included bag of books, elementary reading attitude survey, graded word
lists, graded passages, Cassidy Writing inventory, comprehension analysis, cloze tests and
running record.
Constructed corrective actions, recommendations and reading activities that correlated
with the students needs.
