In this Ted Talks video, Sissel Rogne gives a breakdown of what basic infertility is, in
this case, not being able to conceive in the essential, natural form being sexual
intercourse. She then breaks down basic procedures used in the case that couples who
cannot conceive are taken through. I would like to use this source as a way to show how
different people achieve what seems like such a basic act, when what is normal does
not work for the couple.

In this Ted Talks video, Camille Preston takes us as the audience through her personal
tremulous journey of infertility. In the video she describes the overflow of emotions that
come along with this process of uncertainty and the stigmas that are attached to the topic
because of lack of knowledge. I hope to use this source as a way to show the importance

of education and information needing to be spread because of the growing number of
couples who experience infertility.

In this source, author Lucie Schmidt explains the importance of acknowledging that
Infertility is a disease of a womens reproductive system. In this recognition, it is
important to then understands the necessity of the support of insurance companies to
cover the necessary treatment of this disease. I hope to use this source to further stress the
knowledge and acceptance of Infertility to further help those struggling with is in hopes
of wiping away stigmas attached due to the lack of information

In this source, authors Chelsea Bernhardt Polis and Laurie Schwab Zabin, explore how
perceptions on infertility and contraceptive behaviors affect actual statistical features of
infertility. In this article the breakdown is shown in terms of age, gender and nationality.
As expected, many of those surveyed believed anything could be wrong with them in
terms of reproductive health, as little as 19% percent of women and 13% of men. I would
like to show these statistics to further prove the necessity of destigmatizing the issue of
infertility as a society to further adjust the ways in which we can help those struggling
with it.
