Free trade has changed the world we know, all the products we see in our stores
are from different parts of the world, but how companies move their products
around the globe without wasting profits?
That question was on the head of Malcom McLean, an American trucking magnate
father of the Containerisation, when he discovered all the waste in carry out the
products one for one from the truck to the ships, he realizes that a lot of money and
time was loose, so he invented the containers, using their trucks to move in high
quantities and putted it on the ships and eliminated more than 500% of waste,
liberating the process and creating a new concept that stills being profitable today,
this have been more important than free trade, as the rapid growth of containers in
the world have increased exponentially since their creation, becoming the first
option to the big companies to transport their supplies, products, and so on.
Maybe in the future will appear new ways to transport, but now containers are the
best and cheaper form, maybe this creation carried more globalization and also
damages to the environment, but in the right time would carry also the solution.
