6. A three Bus power system is shown in figure in QUESTION No. 5. The relevant per unit bus impedances 100
MVA base are indicated on the diagram and bus data are shown in Table. Determine the voltage at bus 2 and
bus 3 after 1st iteration using Gauss-Siedel method. Take the acceleration factor = 1.6

7. A three phase transmission line operating at 10 kV, having a resistance of 1 and a reactance of 4 is
connected to the generating station bus bars through a 5MVA step up transformer having a reactance of 5%.
The bus bar are supplied by a 10 MVA alternator having a 10% reactance. Calculate short circuit kVA fed to
symmetrical fault between phases if it occurs
i)
At the load end of transmission line
ii)
At the high voltage terminals of transformer.
