Book notes that people pleasers may
suffer in personal relationships and
may have a history of abuse which
is not applicable to me.

Higher Educ.

Allowed me the
opportunity to view
the role of the charge
nurse on the
Womens Care unit
The nurse I
shadowed was very
experienced and
would make an
excellent future
mentor
Demonstrated a
Democratic
leadership model

NRP taught me the

necessary knowledge
to resuscitate a
neonate if
complications after
birth occur.
This activity is
specific to my
interest in the
neonatal population
Reminded me of my
passion for this
population
My future nursing education
goal is to become proficient in
my nursing skills related to
my unit and those that I float
to. I hope to continue with
applicable certifications

The Charge nurses on this unit were

given full patient assignments and
were not always serving in the
charge nurse role

The hands on part of this class was

not as long as I would have liked it
to be. Most of the content was on
the online portion.

I need a great amount of time spent

on my unit to develop confidence in
my skills before I will feel
comfortable with progressing.

I would like to begin my career

in the mother baby unit and
become proficient in applicable
skills. I would also like to
develop my ordination skills as a
proficient nurse

Progress as a charge nurse and

mentor on my unit. Possibly
transfer to the neonatal intensive
care unit further in my career to
practice more advanced skills in
this vulnerable population.
