Math Game Board Project

Due Date: Monday, May 23, 2016


Objective: Students will create a math game board using the math
topics provided. Parents will be invited to play the game
boards with students on Thursday, May 26th at 1:45.
Materials Needed:

Game board template


15 math questions cards
Colored pencils, markers, or crayons
Scissors, glue, and tape
4 objects to use as place markers
Dice

Math Topics: You may choose 1 or more math topics from the list below to use for your game
board.
2 x 2 digit

Step 1: Create a catchy title and theme for your game board. Write them on the Property
Tiles Rough Draft sheet.
Step 2: Create 22 Property Titles using fourth grade math vocabulary that matches the math
topics selected. Write them on the Property Tiles Rough Draft sheet.
Step 3: Create 15 math problem questions using the fourth grade math topics selected. Write
them on the Math Questions Rough Draft sheet.
Step 4: Cut apart the four game board template sheets along the dotted lines and glue or tape
them together.

Step 5: Write the 22 Property Titles from the rough draft sheet onto the game board and
draw or glue a picture that represents that vocabulary word on the property space. Color the
rest of the game board.
Step 6: Write or type the 15 math problem questions on the math questions cards on the
question side and write the answers on the back. Be sure to write neatly or type questions and
answers. Double check all work to ensure answers are correct.
Step 7: Include 4 objects to use as place markers and dice with your game boards.

Parents are invited to come and joins us for a fun


afternoon of game boards and snacks!
