1. Why are you asked to use fixed points in your drawing?


We need to use fixed points in the drawing because easy to
locate the evidence when the evidences have to bring to
another location.
2. Why do you think you did not make your final, polished
sketch at the crime scene?
Final sketch was not suitable to be sketching at the crime
scene because the current standard method utilizes ComputerAided Drafting (CAD) was used to create the final sketches
which allow for the creation of three-dimensional finished
sketched.
3. Why bother to make a sketch when we have digital cameras
and video cameras?
It is because sketching clearly shows the layout of a crime
scene and also the measurement over long distances and
topography of outdoor scenes. Besides that, it also clarifies the
objects and features that already in notes or shown in
photographs.
4. As a forensic scientist what is the first thing you should do
when you arrive at a crime scene?
We must securing the crime scene which is the boundaries of
the crime scene must be secured with physical barriers by

using crime scene tape, ropes or cone.


The secured area should include the area where the crime took
place and the surrounding area where physical evidence may

be located.
But when the weather is about to rain, we need to make a fast
action to protect the crime scene and also to collect the most
relevant evidence to the case.
