What can international citizens
citizens do to help?

To answer these questions and more, this delegation will:

♦ Meet with leaders in the Guatemalan human rights community throughout the country,
including victims of threats and attacks
♦ Meet with government officials monitoring human rights
♦ Learn about the new International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala (CICIG)
and its efforts to investigate organized crime rings and clandestine groups
♦ Explore the wider socioeconomic and political context in which violence takes place
♦ Learn about Guatemala’s complex history and current efforts to end impunity

Cost of the delegation, including transportation, food, lodging, interpretation, and honorariums, is $800.
Delegates are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Guatemala City, as well as
airport taxes and personal expenses. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due May 23.
