This lesson is the third lesson in unit 7: Earth and our Universe what are earths patterns? This lesson will
cover the earths spinning which called rotation, and how it does, and what it cause.
Teaching goal (State clearly what it is you plan to teach in this lesson

The overall aim of the lesson is to review the lesson by applying different activities as a competition between
the groups , individually and pairs, to enhance the lesson conception on their mind and get them ready for
the test.

Learning objectives (State clearly exactly what you want the ss to be able to do by the end of
the lesson.

Students will be able to demonstrate understanding the rotation and what does it cause.

Assumptions about prior learning (Mention what the ss know from previous lessons or their
experience eg The learners will have encountered or be familiar with or aware of...)

Students know what is rotation.


Students have knowledge about the rotation causes.

Anticipated problems and possible solutions (Mention problems and solutions related to
management, tasks or students

Bushra is talking with his friend during the teacher explains for them the lesson the teacher will
repeat saying her name to catch her attention.
Abdulrahman did not understand what to do the teacher will ask someone who understand to explain
for him.
Mariam did not know how to read some words.. Teacher will every thing loudly.
Mahrah is very shy and he hate to talk with other .... The teacher do a good reinforcement to
encourage them such as. " sarah is a good thinker "
Mohammed is hyperactive the teacher will give him some duties such like distribute the papers
Personal focus for this lesson (Based on your previous observed lesson, identify one or two
aspects that need improving. Eg. be more animated, monitor children more closely, provide
more challenging tasks etc)

I will focus to encourage Mahrah to be confidence .


I am going to focus on time management . I only have 40 min to deliver this lesson .
I will focus in differentiation, to talk with each level in words that fit their understanding.

The teacher will start the class by asking them about the class rules.

T: Hello my lovely students. How are you today?


Ss: Fine thank you.
T: as it is the first class, we wont waste the name, you all know the rules of our class, and they are all pasted
on the board
Ss: yes
T: well done. And do not forget that the students who focus, participate and behave, will get a point .

Teacher will engage the students to the lesson by show them a two pictures that relate to the
topic of the lesson.
She will open the PowerPoint
in slides which includes pictures ( pictures for planets, solar system).

T: What do you see in the picture? Raise your hand please.

T: who can tell me, how do we know if it is day or night?

She will ask them to repeat the word sun, heat and earth and she will tell them the meaning of
each one
to be like a remembering for them

T: So, today Inshallah we will do too many activities to review the lesson of what are earths patterns?

Explore

The teacher will divide the students into 6 groups and each group have 4 students. She will give
to each group an instructions cards with the materials.
Lesson description:
Students are going define the meaning of the (rotation\axis )by drawing a graphic organizer
only, with no words, as group work, after they finish they will stand up in front of their friends
and define it by talking about what did they draw.

Materials:
Colors, big white cards.
Procedure:

1. The teacher will choose a leader for each group to guide their colleagues and to explain for them what
they are asked for.
2. She will give to each group the materials with the instructions card.
( instructions card)

3. Work as a group in defining the meaning of the (rotation\axis).


4. Use the colors to draw a graphic organizer to present the compete definition of the (rotation\axis).
5. After you finish, keep quite, and wait until the time is finish, and choose one volunteer from your
group to present you work to the class.

Teacher will ask each group to share their work with the whole class

Explain

The teacher will give each group a small board, and ask them to write as much as the knew about the rotation.
The group who wrote much more information will win, but the have to read it with understanding what they are
writing.
To ensure that they really demonstrate their understanding, the teacher will distribute a work sheet for each pair
students, in this question the teacher will conclude if the students learn enough or not, as it includes thinking
question

Elaborate

To check if the students understand the lesson or not, the teacher will ask them for an active activity, to apply
rotation in a real, they are going to act rotation in front of their friends, it will increase their self-esteem , and
encouraged them to get evolved and participate.

Evaluate

The last 10 minutes of the lesson. Teacher will give to each student a work sheet that includes
questions about the whole lesson, to re check what did they gain from todays lesson.
