Legal and ethical issues
Legal issues
Trespass- trespass is when you go onto somebodys property without permission from
the owner. The law will apply to my advert because I will be taking the pictures in my
house so I wont be trespassing.
Intellectual property rights- Intellectual property rights are the rights given to persons
over the creations of their minds. They usually give the creator an exclusive right over
the use of his/her creation for a certain period of time. This will apply to my
photoshoot because all of the ideas are mine and they arent copied off anybody.
Copyright- Copyright is the legal right given to a person or company that created
content, the copyright gives them the right to print, publish, perform, film or record
literary, artistic or musical material. This applies to my work because I will take the
photographs myself and not use anybody elses photographs.
Ethical issues
Representation- Representation are the ways in which the media portrays particular
groups, communities, experiences, ideas, or topics from a particular ideological or
value perspective.
