1. History

Create a website
to make learning
history exciting.
Encourage them
to look at different
parts of history by
providing different
and videos on the
topic being
discussed in class.
Teacher Example:
Create a website
on the Civil War
that provides
and videos that
provide
information on the

they will utilize the

subjects being taught
in the history part of
the curriculum they
are required to learn
and comprehend.
They will gain a better
understanding of the
topics being covered
because the use of
technology provides
them with more
materials to analyze
and learn from.
Have students look
at maps on one part
of the website and
then have an online
quiz on another part
of the website.
Students have the
ability to learn and
quiz themselves on
the website in order
to enhance their
understanding of
geography.

Reflection:
While completing this matrix, it was easy for me to see how creating websites and ePortfolios fits directly into the technology
integration concept. I came to understand how creating a website would benefit me as a teacher and my future students in the
classroom. I will be able to reach my students by allowing them to use technology in the classroom and also giving them a
resource that is accessible outside of the classroom so that they can continue to learn, grasp and understand the material I will
be discussing in the classroom when I am not around to help them, such as when they are doing homework and projects at home.
The content that I can put on these websites to enhance the learning of my students is unlimited; I can use videos, articles,
pictures, games, quizzes, and much more. This matrix reinforced my beliefs on how important and beneficial integrating
technology in the classroom is.
