Reflection
I have learned a lot in this class. Before taking this class, I took Calculus which
was very different. Statistics seems like another language. I really enjoyed having my
professor explain the concepts because he always had amazing examples to show. He
was willing to clarify anything we didnt understand, no matter how small. I found the
class challenging but very useful. The calculations themselves werent hard, but
understanding when to use them was the trick. As we did more and more examples,
eventually I would catch when I had to use certain equations and what the variables
represented.
He had us do some technical exercises which required the use of Microsoft
Excel. I never really used Excel until this class, so I thought it was going to be a
nightmare. Turned out that he had every single step written out which was so helpful. I
admire that he acknowledged the fact that not all students understand excel. Every
exercise taught me something new. Its nice to have a variety of skills that I did not have
before.
Lastly Id like to mention, that this class taught me how to word math. Usually
you calculate math and write down numbers. This class had us use letters and
sentences to explain the numbers. Definitely a challenge!

Whats the point of having

the answer be 34, if you cant say what 34 means or applies to. Statistics connects
numbers with life.
