You look at vaccines over the past 100 years,

That is amazing that vaccinations have

made such a huge impact on our lives that
it has added 30 years. People are so caught
up in the negatives of vaccines these days
they dont stop and think about all the
good.

theyve increased our life span by 30 years.

But today some Americans question if all those
vaccines are worth the risk. 1:03-1:13

Barely an hour old, Rachel gets her first shot

I think vaccines can be an amazing thing

against hepatitis B. This is the first of up to 35 but are we over vaccinating? Is there a
inoculations she will get in the next six years of possibility that we have tried to give so
many vaccines in a short period that it hurt
her life to fight 14 diseases. Public health
doctors celebrate vaccines as one of medicines the children?
shining achievements. 3:43-4:06
There's now 16 diseases that are preventable
by vaccination for children.14 of those are
diseases that we vaccinate infants and young
children for, and two of them are diseases that
we vaccinate adolescents. 4:27-4:45

This is amazing that there is this many

diseases that we dont have to worry about
our children getting if they are vaccinated.
Is there more of those 14 that we can push
off to adulthood to cut down on the
numbers as babies.

The fact is that some families choose not to

immunize their children, and there are families
who have children who are particularly medical
lysensitive and they're in jeopardy because they
could get sick from unimmunized children.
10:28-10:41

I never thought about it like this. I havent

thought about the fact that some children
cant get immunized and now they are at a
greater risk of contracting the disease
because children arent getting vaccinated.

Watson 2
The risk is that a certain proportion of people
will get swelling and a little bit off pain lasting
from an hour to a day. That is a very acceptable
risk. A very, very, very small percentage of
people will get an allergic reaction. 18:5219:11

There is a risk with everything you do or

take. These risks are the most common and
they are not serious at all. The very rarest
cases experience allergic reactions which
are serious but a full recovery can happen if
caught and treated in time.

Severe problems, very rare. Several other

severe problems have been known to occur
after a child gets MMR vaccine, but this
happens so rarely, experts cannot be sure
whether they are caused by the vaccine or
not. These include deafness, long term seizures,
coma, or lowered consciousness, permanent
brain damage. 19:47-20:05

The MMR vaccine is the vaccine I am

concentrating on the most. And even
though these very rare side effects can
happen it mentions nothing about autism or
another disease.

Jenny McCarthy knew little about autism until

her son Evan received a series of vaccines
including the shot for mumps, measles, and
rubella, the MMR triple shot. A few weeks
later, Evan developed seizures, and was
diagnosed with autism. 22:36-22:50

This is a sad case that was in the video. I

feel like without the right education and the
right scientific knowledge you would
definitely start to believe that MMR
vaccines developed autism.

Tens of thousands of parents have reported

that their kid was never the same after those
appointments. The second data point is the
knowledge that vaccines cause brain injury in a
small segment of the population. We know that,
the federal government knows it. The pay
money to kids whove been injured that way.
This is something that's been known for years.
24:25-24:43

Again reading about all these parents and

their experiences touches anyone who has a
heart. You cant help but wonder how it
happened? Why isnt it happening to a lot
more children? Is there seriously a problem
between vaccines and autism? If so are we
doing research to figure it out?

A possible correlation between the vaccines

being give and the brain injury that children are
suffering, because autism is brain injury.
24:49-24:56

I wonder if there is a correlation between

vaccines and brain injury. I feel like maybe
if vaccines did cause brain injury more
children would be affected and I believe
that vaccines would not be as successful as
they are.

Wakefield's theory was that the measles

vaccine inflamed the intestines, causing

This is a very convincing theory. I was

even beginning to believe this. I would

harmful proteins to leak into the bloodstream,
eventually damaging the brain and causing
autism. Measles, mumps, and rubella together
may be too much for the immune system of
some children to handle. Clearly for the vast
majority, it is positive, and we must emphasize
that it is just a small cohort of children- we
dont know how large- who have appeared to
develop the syndrome. 25:32-25:55

have probably believe it even more if I

hadnt read previously that he was
discredited.

This vaccination is given at an age where

often the first symptoms of autism emerge.
27:01-27:07

An autism expert shared this fact. I did not

know that the first symptoms of autism also
happen around this time. If this is the case
then could you ever prove that autism was
trigger by the vaccine?

But Mercury poisoning doesn't resemble

autism at all. The fact that mercury is a
toxicant is not sufficient to claim that the
mercury- containing vaccines can lead to
autism. 29:21-29:32

This is interesting because in another

source I found that mercury poisoning and
autism closely resemble. So now I am
unsure which way to choose.

Children who didn't get the shot has the same

risk of developing autism as those who did.
The team published the findings in the New
England Journal of Medicine. Other studies
carried out by researchers in Sweden, Finland,
Britain, and the US also found no association
between MMR and autism. 32:02-32:22

This proves that the shot has nothing to do

with autism. It is a genetic disorder. All of
these countries came back with the same
results. Japan even tried to take apart the
MMR vaccine and gave it three different
times and the results didnt help the autism
case either.

We did not find any association between being

vaccinated with the thimerosal-containing
vaccine and the risk of autism. Other studies in
the Us, the UK, and Canada also found no
association between autism and thimerosal.
33:30-33:44

This is beginning to convince me that

mercury does not have anything to do with
autism. Multiple countries came up with
the same results making these test reliable.

Many of these germs belong to us only, which

means if we could make enough humans
immune simultaneously, we could eradicate
them, and then yes, we could stop vaccinating.
49:22-49:29

This means that because we are

withholding vaccinations from our children
we are prolonging that ultimate goal of no
more vaccinations and no more diseases.
