Chinese Zodiac
A 12 year cycle of animals
with different significances
that help predict what a year
might hold or the personality
of a person

Chinese Zodiac Meanings

In Chinese astrology the animal signs assigned by year represent what others
perceive you as being or how you present yourself. It is a common
misconception that the animals assigned by year are the only signs are person
can identify with. In fact, there are also animal signs assigned by month (called
inner animals), by day (called true animals) and hours (called secret animals).
While a person might appear to be a Dragon because they were born in the
year of the Dragon, they might also be a Snake internally, an Ox truly, and a
Goat secretively.

Year of the Monkey

2016 is the year of the Monkey
When I was born 22 years ago it was the
year of the Rooster

Characteristics of the Monkey are:

Ambitious, Adventurous and Funny

Texture
the perceived surface
quality of a work of art.

Movement
movement in which some elements
recurs regularly. Like a dance it
will have a flow of objects that
will seem to be like the beat of
music.

Mood
the general atmosphere, or
state of mind and feelings,
that a work of art generates.
For example, the mood of a
painting could be disturbing
or tranquil, dark or energetic.
