General Plan Of Action

Proper Representation
- The School of Technology has always been a minority in terms of population in
the UP Visayas Community. As part of the future USC, we will serve as the voice of
our School. Being part of the incumbent council, we will forward current and
future concerns of the department and make it our top priority to promote the
awareness of the peoples struggle in SOTECH. We will also incorporate all
SOTECH activities to the Universitys calendar and to promote full participation
from all colleges and departments of the University.

Provide a Directory, Workshops and an Alliance for Student Organizations
- The Mini-Council for Student Organizations is aimed to promote camaraderie and
easier information dissemination between the different organizations. Aside
from this, the Alliance may also be a venue for event. The University has
numerous organizations and every academic year there is a shift of officers with
this, I with the future Alliance will provide a Directory accessible for all to
promote faster communication between the organizations. This Directory would
include all names and the contact information of all officers of the different
organizations. Also, Workshops would include basic training and provide
information on the flow of permits and letters for new members of every
organization with the presence of the OSA Head and the ASO Head.


Semestral Planning with the OSA, ASO and Student Councils
- A semestral planning to be held following the establishment of the Alliance and
after the organizations, Student Councils and the Administration has had time to
plan out and calendar their events. This Planning may serve as the proper venue
for event collaboration between the students and Administration. This may also
be a setting for the Administration to be aware of the purpose of the new
activities of the students and may raise questions and concerns that they deem
necessary to avoid future discrepancies and to ensure full endorsement of events
from the Administration.

Dorm Transparency and Assistance
- With the absence of freshmen in the upcoming school year there is a huge
number of slots made available for the upperclassmen in the different dorms. We,
as the future USC, will push the administration to present the students with a
clearer system for the basis of dorm acceptance. As much as possible we will
require the Administration to upload or print out the scores or points the
students have accumulated and these points may be open for questions or
queries. In the case that the student is not accepted to the dormitory, we will
provide him/her with a directory of boarding houses that may be a possible
option for living space.


UP Fair and Foundation Week
- I believe that every year the University surpasses challenges and struggles and
while also achieving new heights is another year to celebrate. With this, I aim to
give the students, faculty and staff a Foundation Week filled with events
showcasing the success the UP Community has attained and events that may
provide the people a venue to showcase their talents and skills in the different
fields of the arts that aims to promote enjoyment and entertainment for the
community whilst strengthening healthy competition and camaraderie between
the courses.
