SOTECH Representative to the University Student Council
General Plan of Action:
My term as college representative will focus not only on representing the SOTECH student body
but also proper implementation of campaigns and activities and communication between the
USC and SOTECH and its organizations.
Specific Plans of Action:

REPRESENTATION IN THE USC

SOTECH has been a minority in terms of student population in university but this has never
hindered us as a school and academic organization to reach greater heights and achieve more.
As college representative, I would make sure that the activities, achievements and most
especially struggles and problems will be forward to the USC and the UPV administration. I will
make sure that the interests of students will be a priority.

PARTNERSHIP WITH AND BETWEEN SOTECH ORGANIZATIONS

The active participation of SOTECH organizations will be a point of focus during my term. This
will start with the assistance during the recognition of SOTECH organizations to the SOA which
will allow the organizations to send members to contests and activities as representatives
carrying the name of the organization.
A meeting and consultation between the USC and SOTECH organizations will be done to s erve
as an avenue for each party to forward concerns. This will allow direct contact and avoid lapses
and miscommunications and to discuss possible partnerships in the future.
A semestral planning with the organizations will be done with the organization to make sure
that their activities will be incorporated in the USC and SOTECH SCs calendar of activities which
can open possible collaborations. Hopefully, student organizations will be a able to spearhead
university-wide activities.

PROPER IMPLEMENTATION AND LEG WORK OF USC CAMPAIGNS AND ACTIVITIES

The USC has been spearheading campaigns promoting the interests of students. However, the
participation of SOTECH has not been that active. We aim to change this through regular
updates regarding campaigns and activities by the USC will be given and forwarded to the
SOTECH SC during regular meetings. This is for the SOTECH SC to forward concerns ahead and
give the USC ample time to make changes and adjustments, if necessary.
