Title: What a Wonderful World

Author / Director / Poet / Lyricist, etc. (if known): Louis Armstrong

Context (Where Found / Viewed / Read . . . Variety of Sources, please, vis-a-vis Google Images only)
I heard it a lot growing up and when I was thinking of poetic songs it sort of came to me immediately.

Content / CD / Summary (Say? Plot? Setting / Situation? Key lines / Phrases, Scenes, etc? )
The lyrics of this song describe Louis Armstrongs vision of the world. He sees beautiful things in nature and
the god-made parts of the Earth. He describes the amazing colors and shapes of Earths most basic forms and
objects.

Content / CM / Meaning? / Theme(s)?

In a world where there is so much violence, hate, and war, we often forget to look at the
good in our world. This song is a perfect reminder of the beauty of the Earth. God made
this place in an unbelievable way and we often take that for granted.

Form (Diction? Construction Terms? Symbolism?) This section MUST be filled out for poems taken from the
AP Poetry packet provided prior to first library visit.
Louis Armstrong has a deep and raspy voice that is really catchy. I dont know if that counts as form but I
would say it does.

Commentary: Why like? Poetic Traits? Relevance / Connections / Allusions (Lit, Bib, Myth, Histor, Other) /
Relevance to personal experience, 20Qs? etc.)?
This is one of the most well known songs in American History. Pretty much everyone has heard this song and
I am no exception. I think it's a beautiful song for more than one reason.
