I will say for the students lets do some exercises before starting the lesson
the student will engage with me then, I will introduce the dictionary by using
flashcards. Then, I will show them the flashcards and give them a chance to
explore the word. I will explain why use the dictionary and how use the
dictionary. Also, I will extend the lesson by doing some activities.

Reading & Speaking activity: ( whole class - group work)
Find the meaning
Objectives:

3 It helps students to improve their reading skills for example, (students wil
read the meaning).
4 It helps students to develop their speaking skills for example, (students w
discuss each meaning).
5 It might help them improve their communication skills. Also, it helps them
participate in the class for example, (students will work together to find th
meaning).
Materials:

Instruction:
I will give each group the dictionary and card then I will write words in the board
and I will ask them to find the meaning of each word.
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)
Reading & writing activity:

Low level: write the meaning (group work).


Materials:
A3 paper
Pencils
Dictionary
Instruction:
Students will have A3 paper ,pencils and the dictionary they will read the word
and start to find the meaning from the dictionary.
Why?
I chose this activity for low levels because its easy and simple for them.
Objective:
The student will be able to find the meaning for each word they get.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)


Reading activity:

Middle level: look and find the meaning (group work).

Materials:
Dictionary
Small board
Marker
Instruction:
Students will have small board, marker, and the dictionary. They will see the
pictures then they will try to find the meaning of each picture from the dictionar
.
Why?
I chose this activity for middle levels because I want to challenge them.
Objective:
The student will be able to find the meaning for each picture .
Independent Experience(small group activity 3)
Reading & writing activity:

High level: read the text and find the meaning (group work).

Time:

5 minWhole

Materials:
A3 paper
Cards
Marker
Dictionary
Instruction:
Students will have text in A3 paper, marker and cards then they will read the
text and they will fox into the highlight words then start to search about it in to
the dictionary.
Why?
I chose this activity for high levels because I want to challenge them and I wan
to know if they can read the text and find the meaning.
Objective:
The student will be able to read the text also, the student will be able to
write the meaning.
Closing

I will review the lesson.


I will ask them question.
I will count how many points each group gets to know whose win.

Assessment

I will evaluate students during the activity time by asking question


I will walk around the class to give them feedback about their work.

Reflection WWW/EBI

The lesson was about how to use dictionary. I prepared the activities before
starting the lesson I deal with the teacher and I said I will take all the class
,but next time I will take only 15 minutes then the teacher agree after that,
explained the lesson then I gave each group one dictionary to use it in the
activity then I walked around the class to see if the student know how to use
it and I help them to find the meaning after that , I gave each group
different activity about how to use the dictionary then I saw all students
collaborate to find the answer I think this class was better than last class
also, the management was good, but I think even better if I remove one
activity to give them chance to finish quickly.
Next Steps in learning and teaching

My next steps are to prepare last lesson and try to focus on activity time.
