She is going against the grain and fighting to protect her land by
occupying the lands and keeping the companies and RCMP from infringing
on the territory. Specifically she build a cabin on the GPS location that a
pipeline would cross.

He united the people of his tribe and other tribes to rise up and defend
the territory. He fought and would not submit.

her people together and was successful to protect the lands in her
area.

defend but it was not enough to be successful
