Upon completion of my Mechanical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University in the
spring of 2016, I will be seeking a full-time position as a Combustion Engineer at Zeeco. I am
looking for a position with the company that will best equip me with the experience and breadth
of knowledge necessary to eventually work my way up to a Project Manager. This position with
your company will offer me exposure to different aspects of the business and help me achieve
the high level of proficiency in multiple areas that are essential for a successful career.
My studies at Oklahoma State have given me the engineering knowledge and problem-solving
skills required to be a valuable asset to any company. On a team project, our teacher applauded
my innovative idea to insulate the walls and floor of our air-conditioned dog house to reduce heat
loss to the environment. As an executive officer in my fraternity, my implementation, in
collaboration with other officers, of a new midterm grade reporting policy to improve the
fraternitys overall grade point average resulted in subsequent grade improvement. These
leadership and communication skills gained from executive offices held in my fraternity, coupled
with the business and professional skills grown from my tremendous experience as a Williams
intern blend together to make me an excellent candidate for this position at Zeeco.
