Pride Flags and their Meanings

LGBTI Pride
The colors reflect the diversity of the
LGBT community and most common
consists of six stripes, with the colors
red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and
violet. The flag is usually flown
horizontally, with the red stripe on
top, as it would be in a natural
rainbow.

Transgender Pride
The stripes at the top and bottom
are light blue, the traditional color
for baby boys. The stripes next to
them are pink, the traditional color
for baby girls. The stripe in the
middle is white, for those who are
intersex, transitioning or consider
themselves having a neutral or
undefined gender. The pattern is
such that no matter which way you
fly it, it is always correct, signifying
us finding correctness in our lives.

Bisexual Pride
The Bisexual Pride Flag also consists
of pink, purple, and blue stripes. The
pink represents sexual attraction to
the same sex (gay and lesbian), the
blue represents sexual attraction to
the opposite sex (straight), and the
overlapping purple portion of the
flag represents sexual attraction to
both sexes (bi).

Asexual pride
In the Asexual Pride Flat the black
stripe represents asexuality, the grey
stripe the grey-area between sexual
and asexual, the white stripe
sexuality, and the purple stripe
community.
