thefield.Safetyinthelabisthefirstpriorityforstudentsandteachers.Toensureasafe
labexperience,studentsmustfollowtheScienceRulesfortheprotection.Andtheserules
andexpectationsshouldbegiventoeverystudenttohelpthemunderstandtheirrolesin
ensuringasafetyandeffectivescienceexperience.
Duringmyobservation,Ionlygotthechancetolistenthebiologypart.Theydidnotdo
manylabsaboutChemistryandPhysicsandtheydidnotuseanychemicalinthelab

aroundandprovidedguidanceandhelptostudents.Beforetheyfinishedthelab,the
teachermentionedthattheyshouldcleanuptheirdeskandresumethematerialsasthe
same.WhenIrethinkthislab,theteacherplayedtheroleofaguider;shegavestudents
opportunitiesandenoughtimetoexplorethelabbythemselves.Also,shehadagood
