Mens Rugby Coaching Vacancy in Mobile, AL

The Mobile Area Rugby Foundation is extending an invitation for qualified rugby
coaches to submit resumes (CV) for consideration for an open position with the
Battleship Rugby Football Club in Mobile, AL (Senior Mens club side). Battleship
Senior Mens club side competes in USA Rugbys Division II within the True South
GRU. Selected applicant will be expected to coach both XVs and 7s sides from
September 2016 to August 2017.
Requirements:
Applicant must be USA Rugby Certified Level 200 or higher and maintain CIPP in
current status throughout the duration of the competitive seasons. Applicant will be
expected to pass USARs background and sex offender screening prior to
consideration. Availability is required Tuesdays and Thursdays from 630 pm to 9 pm
along with Saturday mornings during non-competition weekends and available for
travel to all games, matches and tournaments. The desired applicant will have the
ability to work with experienced and develop novice players to maximize retention
and competitiveness. Applicant is responsible for all competition laws, rules, and
requirements as prescribed by USA Rugby, True South GRU and/or the Mobile Area
Rugby Foundation. Violations of any law, rule or requirement, whether prescribed or
assumed, willful or accidental, may result in disciplinary action up to and including
dismissal. Selected applicant will be required to participate in non-competition
activities, e.g., fund-raisng and community engagement efforts as required by the
role and is expected to adhere to the Core Values and Code of Conduct of the
Foundation, at all times.
Preference:
Previous coaching experience preferred at or above the USAR DII level, or
international equivalent. A non-playing coach is preferred but player-coach will be
considered based on applicants coaching history. Prior experience coaching or
guiding youth development is a plus. Applicant must be eligible for employment
without restriction within the U.S.
Remuneration:

Applicant may be reimbursed reasonable costs associated with competition


and Continuing Education upon board pre-approval

Applicant will be reimbursed requisite annual CIPP registration fees required


by USA Rugby and the True South upon completion of the first competition
cycle

Applicant may be eligible for stipend based upon education, certifications


and/or experience. Requires board approval
