Tatkalticketswillbeissuedforactualdistanceoftravel,insteadofendtoend,subjecttothedistancerestrictionapplicabletothe
train.ThesameTatkalberth/seatmaybebookedinmultiplelegstillpreparationofcharts.Atthetimeofpreparationofcharts,
unutilizedportionmaybereleasedtotheGeneralRAC/Waitinglistpassengers.
TatkalfacilityisalsoavailableinExecutiveClassofShatabadiExpresstrainsalso,byearmarking10%oftheaccommodation
availablei.e.5seatspercoach.
Tatkalbookingopensat10AMforACClassesand11AMforNONACClassesonOnedaysinadvanceactualdateofjourney
excludingdateofjourneyw.e.f.of15.06.2015(commercialcircularno:34of2015).e.g.fortrainleavingon6th,TatkalBookingwill
Commenceat10AMforACClasseson5thandat11AMforNONACClasseson5th.
NoduplicateTatkalticketsshallbeissued.DuplicateTatkalticketsshallbeissuedonlyinexceptionalcasesonpaymentoffullfare
includingTatkalcharges.
AtthetimeofTatkalticketbookingnoneedtofurnishidentityproof,Onlyonepassengerneedstoproduceanyoneofthefollowing
proofofidentityintheoriginalduringthejourney:
1.VoterPhotoidentitycardissuedbyElectionCommisionofIndia.
2.Passport
3.PANCardissuedbyIncomeTaxDepartment.
4.DrivingLicenceissuedbyRTO.
5.PhotoidentitycardhavingserialnumberissuedbyCentral/StateGovernment.
6.StudentIdentityCardwithphotographissuedbyrecognizedSchool/Collegefortheirstudents.
7.NationalizedBankPassbokwithphotograph.
8.Creditcardsissuedbybankswithlaminatedphotograph.
9.UniqueIdentificationCard"Aadhaar".
10.PhotoidentitycardshavingserialnumberissuedbyPublicSectorUndertakingofState/CentralGovernment,District
Administration,MunicipalbodiesandPenchantAdministration.
Agents/RTSAs/Webserviceagents/WebagentsofIRCTCarerestrictedfromthebookingTatkalticketsbetween1000hoursand
1200hours.Thisrestrictionshallbeenforcedthroughfrequentinspectionatthecounters.Theagentsbothwebserviceagentsand
webagentsshallalsoberestrictedfrombookingTatkalticketsontheinternetbetween1000hoursand1200hours.
EvenforinternetbookingforTatkaltickets,thepassengershallentertheidentityprooftypeandnumber,whichistobeusedfor
travel.ThesedetailsshallbeprintedontheERS/indicatedontheVRM/MRMaswellasinthereservationchart.
ItwillbepossibletobookamaximumofonlyfourpassengersperPNRforTatkaltickets.
ThewebservicesagentsofIRCTCwillbepermittedtobookonlyoneTatkalticketpertrainperdayontheinternet.
ThefacilityofchangeofnameisnotpermittedonthebookingsmadeunderTatkalscheme
TDRsarenotbeingissuedforwaitinglisttickets.
REFUNDSNorefundwillbegrantedoncancellationofconfirmedTatkaltickets/duplicatetatkalticketexceptincaseof
circumstancesmentionedinpara2ofinstructionscontainedinCommercialCircularno.53of2006issuedvideletterno.2006/TGII/
20/P/Tatkal,dated30.06.2006.However,fullrefundoffareandtatkalchargeswillbegrantedontheticketsbookedunderTatkal
schemeinthefollowingcircumstances:
Ifthetrainisdelayedbymorethan3hoursatthejourneyoriginatingpointofthepassenger&nottheboardingpointifthe
passenger'sjourneyoriginatingpointandboardingpointaredifferent.
Ifthetrainistorunonadivertedrouteandpassengerisnotwillingtotravel.
Ifthetrainistorunondivertedrouteandboardingstationorthedestinationorboththestationsarenotonthedivertedroute.

IncaseofnonattachmentofcoachinwhichTatkalaccommodationhasbeenearmarkedandthepassengerhasnotbeen
providedaccommodationinthesameclass.
Ifthepartyhasbeenaccommodatedinlowerclassanddoesnotwanttotravel.Incasethepartytravelsinlowerclass,the
passengerwillbegivenrefundofdifferenceoffareandalsothedifferenceofTatkalcharges,ifany.
