Provide dysphagia, cognition, and language therapy to adult patients in an in-patient rehabilitation
center, particularly patients with Alzheimers and Dementia as well as trach and vent patients
Evaluate and make diet consistency recommendations, provide oral motor exercises, memory exercises
and activities utilizing ADLs and concepts of safety awareness
Complete chart reviews, conduct swallowing, language, and memory screenings and evaluations and
write evaluation reports and goals
Document treatment progress in treatment encounter notes daily as well as participate in care conference
meetings and provide patient, caregiver, and staff education regarding information such as diet
recommendations, signs or symptoms of aspiration, and risk for aspiration pneumonia
