Regression Project
With diseases like the measles killing as mush as one hundred and thirty
thousand people a year, immunization is crucial for these outbreaks and and
these deaths to stop. By simply immunizing children around the world can
drastically reduce deaths. This data can help to show how immunizing is directly
related to life expectancy which gives vital evidence to start immunizing children
everywhere. World leaders, WHO and CDC workers, and an everyday parent are all
important audience members who could use this information to push for more
vaccinations, send vaccinations to where they are needed, or just vaccinate their
children.
With this data the chance for a high life expectancy is greatly increased,
through simple algebra we can use the data to make important assumptions and
a better general idea of what all of this means. For this data the regression
equation is y=(.0025x^3+.624x^2+(-48.12)+x+1275.77). This equation uses the data to show
what the X or Y values could be. It can use the plotted points to estimate where
most of the plotted points are in correlation to their x or y values. The parent
function for this data was a cubic graph(y=x^3). The cubic graph best fits the data
best with an r value of .83(this being the closest to 1.0). With an r value of .83 the

parents function represents the data fairly well, despite a few outliers. However I
decided to keep the outliers in the data because they are important to show how
some other aspects can affect both of the variables.
For the three y values that were estimated the x values were 74,89, and 95.
The predicated y values correspond fairly evenly to the x vales. For 74 the

life expectancy and can ravage through communities. Outbreaks can hurt the
economy, social services and especially hurt the lives of people in that country.
The relevance of this occupation is very important. This job obviously is needed
just about every where there are people living in high enough density.
In conclusion this data is needed in todays world to help bring all people to
a higher standard of living. This standard includes higher life expectancy and
lower number of deaths for a disease. Immunization is proved through this data
to be very essential to keep our people healthy and alive, and out communities
healthy and alive. This data will soon be used all over the world, making it a safer
place.
