Teachers Track Assessment:

Teachers use an excel spreadsheet system to track their learners progress in

knowledge, skills and understanding learning goals during the course of the
year. Knowledge and skills are determined by various assessment methods
i.e. knowledge tests at the end of the unit, learning opportunities and
experiences for learners to practise and demonstrate skills, self-assessment
with the skill rubrics, peer assessments (verbal and written) as well as the
teachers assessment with observations and the skill rubrics. Understanding
is captured throughout the unit through conversations and reflections.
Through the tracking system, teachers are able to easily identify learners
who have not yet met a developmental level in skills. Teachers can then
tailor and differentiate their teaching practice to scaffold the learners needs
in order to maximise their learning potential. Results are analysed as a team
and whole school during the middle and end of year, to devise target
subjects for the following year as per Generations Policy Manual (see other
evidence for this).
